Who we are

We are Rev. Dave and Sophia Hunter, a couple committed to making your wedding day as wonderful as possible. We have conducted hundreds of wedding ceremonies at many locations and at our own private Chapel on our property over the past many years. We have personally built the Chapel to provide a special location for your special day. Drawing upon the experiences of conducting wedding ceremonies throughout the valley, we have tried to choose the best that each location had to offer and include it in our Chapel.

From intimate home garden wedding ceremonies we have created wonderful gardens and ceremonial deck for those outdoor marriage ceremonies. Also from the many fine venues throughout the valley we have created a beautifully decorated Chapel room seasonally decorated for those intimate indoor marriage ceremonies. Yet we have kept it to be unique in the whole valley. We would love to care for you at our home anytime you would like.

 

 About Reverend Dave Hunter

 

Rev. Dave is a licensed wedding officiant and an Ordained minister who has conducted wedding ceremonies for many years. He has a B.Sc. from York University also is a Doctor of Chiropractic for three decades. Who has cared for people in his office not only for their aches and pains but for their personal needs. Rev. Dave in his earlier years was on the National Gymnastic Team for Canada and has traveled extensively throughout the world competing, even in China in the early 70’s before 50,000 people. So he has no worries about performing before people. During his ministerial training with Indiana Wesleyan University he gave many sermons before congregations and spoke at many social clubs so he has no worries about talking before groups with or without a microphone.

Rev. Dave has conducted wedding ceremonies at the Chateau Laurier and Congress Center before hundreds of guests and has conducted very personal weddings of just a few guests in the privacy of the couples home. From grand wedding venues to restaurants and backyards, he can adapt to you needs.

He also has performed many interfaith weddings bringing together the religious or spiritual needs of the couple into one ceremony. Through his extensive travels as a Gymnast it has made him sensitive to the needs of many cultures and honours them. He would be happy to listen to your concerns.

Rev. Dave has his own ministry called The Stable Ministries associated with the Canadian Evangelical Christian Churches denomination. He provides not only a ministry for couples without a church to be married but a ministry for couples who wish to Baptize their children. For divorced Catholics Rev. Dave has a great empathy for them due to their feeling of being excluded, he would be honoured to conduct your ceremony holding to your traditions. See our section on remarriage for Catholic Couples.
