 They brought children for Jesus to touch. The disciples rebuked them, but when Jesus saw them he was indignant and said to them, "Let the children come to me; do not try to stop them; for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. I tell you, whoever does not accept the kingdom of God like a child will never enter it." And he put his arms round them, and blessed them.

It has been my pleasure and honour to conduct a Christian Baptism or Christenings of the children of many Couples who I have married over the years, it would be my great pleasure to perform your child's Baptism. Below are some things you should consider when looking for a Officiant to conduct your child's Baptism.

What Is A Christian Baptism or Christening: It Is A Holy Sacrament

         I would like to point out to you that you may find non-ordained Officiant's who provided "Baptisms". But in a real sense they are called "Naming Ceremonies" or "Welcoming Ceremonies" which are very secular and non-Christian. The Baptism performed is only a very minor part of the ceremony. In a true sense they where not Christian Baptisms or even performed by a Christian Minister. For the most part 80-90% of officiants are not Ordained Christian Ministers. Baptism is a Christian Sacrament, a consecrated ordinance called by Christ for us to do. To bring the child into the family of God through the faith of their family. 

Who Should Perform this Holy Sacrament?: An Ordained Minister

        Many officiants that you may find through the Internet or yellow pages, who say they conduct Baptism's are not Ordained Christian Ministers. These Officiants maybe registered with an ecumenical church who accepts all religious and non-religious belief systems and are given lay status. They have no Christian theological training.

Is Our Baptism Associated With Any Particular Denomination?

           No. All may access my services. There is no pressure on anyone to explain their Christian spirituality or present former church affiliation. The parents are not asked to affirm to any particular Christian belief system or to involve themselves in any organization. Just profess a belief in the Risen Christ and the child's Baptism will be Christian through the faith of the parents, sanctified before God.
I am an Ordained Minister with the The Canadian Evangelical Christian Church, a church recognized and registered by and with the Canadian government, also affiliated with the largest Evangelical Christian association The Evangelical Fellowship of Canada comprising of dozens of churches throughout Canada and North America. The Baptismal papers will state the name of my Ministry "The Stable Ministries" and the name of the CECC. I am also a Director of the National Church Council for the CECC.

Where Can The Baptism or Christening Be Held?

       You can hold your child's Baptism in the privacy of your own home, garden, or use our personally built Chapel. If you wish, for a small extra fee other of your children may be Baptized at the same time.  

Can I Include Others In The Ceremony? 

         You may wish to include your older children in the Baptism as well as your new baby. The Ceremony is the perfect opportunity to declare your promises to your child before family and friends. It's also the perfect opportunity to involve relatives, such as grandparents, and maybe other adult friends. It is nice to have supporting adults or God parents, allowing them to confirm their special relationship with your child and share their promises at the ceremony in front of you and the guests.

Is The Baptismal Papers Recognized Or Have Legal Status?

       Our Baptismal Certificate given at the end of the ceremony will be proof for you and your child that a Christian Baptism was performed. This Certificate can be used in the future by your child to prove their Baptism if they chose to draw closer to a Christian faith community. Also the Certificate can be used if the child is to be enrolled into a Christian school. Baptismal papers are not legal documents like a Birth Certificate but are necessary for a child to prove they are part of the Christian community.

What is Required For A Baptism or Christening?

        The only requirement is a desire for the Parent's to have their child Baptized into the Christian Community. For the new born it is the faith of the Parents and Family that stands in for the infant to be Baptized. For a older child it can be their desire and decision. I extend a  open invitation to all Catholics who can not Baptize their child into the church due to their divorce or one parent not wishing to convert. Communion can be asked for as a added special ceremony during the Baptism.
