Some Officiants are advertising very low fees but they are not, as I found out from couples, also they don't say if HST is charged and if you want a planning meeting they add an extra fee. Watch out.
Mission Statement
To provide the lowest costs for your wedding offered by any independent self supporting ministry serving the Ottawa Valley & Region, our mission is to provide the least expensive wedding for Couples in these tough economic times.
It would be my great pleasure to be part of your big day at a location of your choice and creating a ceremony special to you.
From experience I know Couples are nervous about memorizing vows and where to go next in the ceremony. Don't worry, I lead you through everything, just enjoy and relax. Remember you don't have to remember anything. Come for a visit before you book with me.
Did you know, if it is important for you to have a Minister to perform your wedding I am here for you, near all commercial wedding sites are not Ministers, but check off on your marriage licence that they are clergy
Your Ceremony Plans
Rev. Dave has heard from Brides (new Brides and from Brides that are re-marrying) for many years that their wedding ceremony is the most important part of their big day (and the party) and they are concerned on how to put it all together. Rev. Dave has had the privilege putting his knowledge to work by being asked to be part of hundreds of couples' special wedding days for many years creating exceptional wedding ceremonies. By taking personal care in each ceremony it becomes a special memory for each and ever couple. A personal touch right from the creation of a wonderful wedding ceremony to taking charge where needed to organize a wedding ceremony, on site, that is about to fall apart for the Bride.
He will at all times connect with you on all your needs and desires before the wedding day and he will connect with those who will be there on your wedding day to orchestrate a ceremony that comes together just for you.
Rev. Dave will accept all couples who want to save, not like other officiants that say not to call them if you think their prices are too high. Some say they have the lowest prices but they hide the tax, we do not, and quote off days from the weekend looking like it's their standard fee.
Rev. Dave will carefully explain each and every step at the planning meeting so you will have a vision in your mind of what is going to happen on your big day. When the day arrives, he will walk you through the ceremony giving you quiet hints on what to do next with an easy going attitude and smile on his face.
Our Fees Include: A pre-visit which most Officiants do not allow. (At our Chapel)
1. Personalized wedding ceremony with a keepsake package.
2. Assistance in providing the resources to create a special ceremony
3. A one-on-one planning meeting to organize your wedding ceremony.
4. A wedding ceremony step by step rehearsal guide.
5. All documentation of your wedding is properly recorded.
6. Directions in obtaining your Certificate of Marriage from the government.
7. All the help you need by phone or email.
8. Assurance that I will be there on time.
9. To make your wedding day go smoothly with less stress and you will not have to memorize anything I will lead you through the whole ceremony. There are no pre-marital classes required.
10. Be assured I am an Ordained Minister by a recognized church not an Officiant who has been given just a marriage number with no theological training or little training and experience. Also part of your fee goes toward charitable works of my denomination.
11. Rehearsal planning meeting is held at the Chapel a few weeks before your wedding, couple only. On site rehearsal if time allows is an extra fee of $150.00.

Ottawa Valley Price Ranges: OPTIONS
Knowing many Brides do extensive searches for the best prices for their wedding day. To help you in your search for Officiant fees I have provided a short list of price ranges in the Ottawa Valley. Just remember an Officiant maybe the least expensive item on your wedding list yet they are the only people that can marry you outside the Church or City Hall.
An Officiant has many expenses, not only their time to see you and put together an exceptional wedding ceremony for you but the advertising, vehicle, gas costs and for some the training for 3-4 years to become a minister. They do not have a congregation to support them or your taxes to pay them as at City Hall. The old days are over where your local Pastor or Priest does your wedding for a small fee if you are a member of their church. If you are a member of their congregation and have donated hundreds of dollars over the years each Sunday they will look after you. Ask yourself if you have gone to church regularly. Also many busy Ministers of a church only have Saturdays off for their family and really don't want to do a wedding for a non member.

Church Wedding:
(The Canadian average of church goers is now about 30%) If you are looking at a church wedding, many churches require you to take pre-marital classes which you are charged for (about 150.00 or even more for a 8-10 week course), with some church's you may need to attend the church for a year where you have given in Sunday offerings maybe $600.00 or more, you will have to pay $150.00 to the organist, $150.00-$400.00 to the minister, $100.00 to the custodian, $100.00 for the alter guild, and or a church rental fee of 200.00 to 5,000.00. Your wedding expenses have risen very high. Some retired ministers are offering their services at their home for as little as $125.00. Is this what you really want? Also many churches frown on remarriages or doing weddings for none members.
2. Professional Officiant Services:
Some large Officiant services charge $300.00-$650 for Officiants that have been given their wedding number with no training and you have little choice in whom you get. They assign an Officiant closest to you. Also they may have very different belief systems then yourself. Then you have $600.00-$1000.00 wedding packages which may include wedding planning and customized wedding ceremonies (what they say that are the ho-hum ceremony from other Officiants). The average seems to be $300 to $600.00. Few allow a pre-visit to see if you connect. So there is a wide range of fees, what you need to do is decide which Officiant service fits your needs both economically, spiritually and personally. Some wedding locations have one Officiant provider, your locked in, make sure you are allowed to opt for your own Officiant and that your Officiant fee is not included in the venues fee.
3. City Hall:
Low weekday prices (not weekends prices) but it allows only five guests in a plane office room and limited times on the Friday and Saturday. You pay a high price for a seven minute ceremony done in a 20 minute time period. City Hall is now 314.00 to 418.00 on Friday & Saturday for your wedding with only 5 guests, tax included. You may have to go to the downtown City Hall three times to get your marriage completed. We allow 16 guests for a half hour wedding on a country estate at 250.00 - 325.00 tax included, fully decorated, what is better?

1. $360.00 (Tax Included)
2. Planned meeting for larger weddings $40.00 no tax
3. Communion $50.00 (No Tax).
4. Travel $25.00 - $50.00 if over half hour from Chapel

Connecting
For Rev. Dave making a personal connection and commitment to your needs is the key. Your wedding day is not just a ceremony to Rev. Dave but it is a Ministry, reaching out to those of all faiths and cultures who do not have a church and who desire a minister to conduct their wedding. And for those whose religious leader does not have their license to perform marriages. He is committed to make a connection with you, he saw a great need for couples without a church and for those who wanted more then a Civil City Hall wedding ceremony. Reverend Dave spent over three years in seminary studies at the prestigious Indiana Wesleyan University to become a Minister. Then a few more years of training to become an Ordained Minister with the Evangelical Christian Church in Canada. Which he is now on the national church council.
The personal connections Rev. Dave has made with couples has been his greatest joy. Couples email him pictures not only of their wedding day but of their new baby created from their joyous union. These couples have then asked him to Baptize their children completing part of the cycle of life. Only an Ordained Christian minister should conduct your babies Baptism.

Our Ceremonies: Civil & Religious Ceremonies provided
Rev. Dave has conducted personalized Civil & Non-Denominational marriage ceremonies and has created a Catholic/Anglican Ceremony for divorced & non-divorced Catholic couples who wish to honour their faith. He has conducted wedding ceremonies at reception venues and at a private locations of the couples' choice and is able to give you the individual attention your wedding day deserves. Rev. Dave, also conducts inter faith wedding ceremonies and renewal of vows ceremonies. Our Ceremonies are:
1. Catholic/Anglican Ceremony (No other Officiant offers this)
2. Non-Denominational Ceremony (Mentions God)
3. Civil Ceremony (No mention of God)
4. In Office Ceremony, just legal questions asked.
Communion is also offered no other Officiant provides this. An Ordained Minister is the only person who can & should deliver this Sacrament.

Destination Weddings: Important Advice
Many Couples are opting for destination weddings, it is strongly suggested that you see us first and get a Canadian marriage and then Certificate due to many lost or miss placed documents and illegal officiants in some of these countries. Also you may not understand their accent even if translated. Also think of all the tourist surrounding you on the beach. Ask us about our In Office wedding for just 150.00 tax included.
This is strongly recommended for all who may be thinking of having a destination wedding.
