 Offers A Ministry of
Reconciliation & Acceptance

To All Catholic couples seeking to be
re-married or married in a religious ceremony.

 Who Am I:

I am Rev. Dave Hunter an Ordained Christian Minister with The Canadian Evangelical Christian Church and I extend my hand in Christian friendship to all divorced Catholic or unmarried couples with children who have felt unwanted by the Church. Who wish a Catholic wedding. My ministry is a ministry of reconciliation as mentioned by Apostle Paul regarding Jesus' reconciling all things to Himself by His Love. My background is Anglican and I did my ministry training at the respected Indiana Wesleyan University.

FYI: In my many years of providing Weddings and Baptism's throughout the Ottawa Valley there are very few Officiants who provide these services who are Ordained Christian Ministers. If this is important to you to sanctify your marriage or your Child's Baptism then I am here for you. Also I can perform Holy Communion.

Church Rules: Roman Catholics for a marriage must turn to their church to create a file that needs to be approved by the Bishop, or get written approval to get married outside their church. A Catholic wedding needs to be planned in detail because the priest needs to be advised six months in advance. For re-marriage in the church it may take years and a large amount of money to get all the paperwork put through.

My Ministry:

I look upon my ministry in three basic biblical thoughts that one, in the Gospel of Luke Christ said "The Kingdom of God is within us" not just the four walls of a church. Secondly in 1 John; it is a simple statement of faith that "God is Love" and He forgives. And thirdly in 2 Corinthians Christ's ministry was a ministry of reconciliation.
Why should you feel rejected when Jesus came to redeem us and reconcile us all to Him through His sacrificial love on the Cross. There is no need any more to carry that guilt of divorce and the fear of re-marriage. A Biblical divorce is more then just infidelity there are other reasons that divorce can be accepted before God's loving eyes.

Who Else Is Rejected:

It is not only you personally that is rejected, but the children you may have had from your previous marriage or before marriage. Did not Christ say in the Gospel's that the greatest sin was to hurt "these little ones" for He knew that children all have a innocent and unconditional love. Isn't marriage ordained, a place to create a home of love where "these little ones" may feel safe and grow up in the likeness of Himself. Where is the love when a blended family can not sanctify there relationship through marriage and remarriage.

Sanctity of Marriage:

I believe that marriage is a sanctified moment before God not a Sacrament. Jesus only called for two Sacraments in the Bible and they are Baptism and Holy Communion nothing more or less. One to become a child of God and the other to remember the sacrifice that God the Father made of His only Son, His Child. The Bible is about family and relationships, our relationship with Him, our relationship with a loving spouse and a loving family built on the Rock (Christ) to raise a family in love and hope.

There Is Hope:

I want to bring hope back to all those who may have been rejected by the organized church structure. Christ's ministry was open and free, administering His love to all who may approach Him. He did say in the Bible that divorce was not the true way but His ministry was called the "Way". The way for all to come to Him for He said in the Gospel of John."I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." His way is love, a love that forgives and understands we are only human.

My Offer:

I offer all out there Catholic and non to call me and find that love He so offered through His Way. To receive that marriage that is sanctified through a ceremony you may know and be familiar with. We have developed a ceremony based on the Anglican faith that is almost the same as the Catholic. Many do not know the difference. Being Ordained I also offer the chance to receive Holy Communion during your marriage ceremony for the couple and wedding party. Our ceremony does not include all the rituals you may have known. But you will feel blessed and your marriage also.

Special Ceremony:

For the children we have a special ceremony for them, where they too are given vows. For those children born before marriage and for step-child; where they can become part of the whole and begin to have the sense that this marriage is not just about the step-parents, but they are important too. Where they feel important and loved thus creating a new family foundation based on love and security.

A Special Invitation:

I invite you all to this ministry of reconciliation through love where you may find a deeper love with the one you love and find a renewed or even a reborn love in your faith with a loving God. I also invite you to ignore any in your family who may have misgivings about your re-marriage outside the church. Your marriage will be sanctified by His love and it is your love you have for one another that will be made Holy through the love of Christ who gave His life for us all.
